How referrals work

Every dentist and every designer on ExoConnect has a personal referral code and a share link. When a dentist signs up using your link and later pays for a case, you earn a percentage of that case.

There are two kinds of codes:

• Personal codes (every dentist and designer gets one automatically). You earn on the referred dentist's first paid case only.
• Partner codes (set up by ExoConnect admin for influencers and partners). These can pay on every case the referred dentist ever runs, for as long as admin sets, at a custom rate.

Share your link (dentists and designers)

Your referral code and share link live on the Referrals page in your portal.

To share it:

1. Go to Referrals in the left menu.
2. Click Copy link.
3. Send that link to the dentist you're referring, however you'd normally reach them (text, email, DM).

When they click your link, it takes them straight to the sign up page with your code already attached. They'll see a small note that says "Referred with code [your code]" right above the Continue button, so they know the referral is locked in.

What you earn

You earn a percentage of the referred dentist's case price. The earning is created the moment a designer accepts the job and the dentist's card is captured, so it lines up with real, confirmed work, not just a signup.

The percentage is set by ExoConnect admin. The current base rate is 2.5% of the case price. A partner code may carry its own rate.

A few things worth knowing:

• Personal codes earn once per referred dentist, on their first paid case only. Partner codes can earn on every case, depending on how admin set the code up.
• Signups alone don't earn you anything. The referred dentist has to actually pay for a case.
• If a case is fully refunded, the earning on it is voided. A partial refund reduces the earning by the same share.
• There's nothing extra you need to do to trigger it. It happens automatically in the background once the case is accepted and paid.

Tracking your earnings

The same Referrals page shows a running list of everyone you've referred, the case each earning came from, and where each one stands.

Each earning moves through three statuses:

• Pending - the referred dentist's case has been accepted and the card charged, but the earning hasn't been approved yet.
• Approved - admin has reviewed and approved the earning. It's confirmed, just waiting to be paid.
• Paid - the earning has been paid out to you.

An earning can also show as Void if the case behind it was refunded.

You don't need to do anything to move an earning along. Just check back on the Referrals page any time to see where things stand.

For partners and influencers

ExoConnect works with dentists who have a following, and with partners who aren't on the platform as a dentist or designer at all. Either way, admin sets you up with a partner code.

Here's how that works:

1. Admin creates a partner code under your name and picks the rules for it: whether it pays on the first case only or on every case, how long it keeps paying (lifetime or a set number of months from each dentist's signup), whether the percentage comes off the case price or off ExoConnect's commission, and the rate.
2. If you have an ExoConnect login, admin links the partner code to your account. Your Referrals page then shows your partner code and link instead of a personal code, and every earning under it.
3. You share your link just like anyone else would.
4. Admin sees your earnings as they come in, approves them the same way, and pays you outside of ExoConnect (this isn't an in-app payout).
